Joshua D. Stein, MD, MS
Dr. Stein has worked with the Principals of the Center for greater than 7 years. He has done extensive original quality-of life research particularly in the area of source perspective. His continued efforts in medicine and glaucoma have allowed us to benefit from his experience and perspective on difficult models including hypertension and glaucoma interventions.
Dr. Stein is currently an Assistant Professor and Staff Physician on the Cataract and Glaucoma Service at Kellogg Eye Center at the University of Michigan. His academic achievements include a very prolific publishing experience including numerous peer-reviewed articles as well as book chapters and presentations. He has been honored many times over for his research during his residency and fellowship and has been most successful at securing research grants. Dr. Stein is a reviewer for numerous specialty journals as well as a contributing editor for Evidence-Based Ophthalmology.
Dr. Stein earned his medical degree at Jefferson Medical College in 2001 following graduating from Wesleyan University with a BA and earning a MS in Evaluative Clinical Sciences at Dartmouth Medical School. He completed an internship at Abington Memorial Hospital and residency in ophthalmology at New York University along with a research/clinical fellowship in glaucoma at Duke University. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Stein’s long time commitment to the research and tenets of Value-Based Medicine continue to strengthen the staff at the Center. The Center continues to welcome his efforts and applaud his continuing accomplishments.
